Norfork Water has a telemetry system, which is the wireless
transmission and reception of measured quantities for the purpose of remotely monitoring environmental conditions or equipment parameters on the water facilities to ensure water pressure
at all times. This will alert us of possible problems
with the wells or towers.
Norfork serves water to over 400 customers using:
2 Wells that produce 400 gallons per minute.
2 Water Towers holding 150,000 gallons of storage.
Norfork also has the latest technology in meter reading. With Itron’s automatic meter reading (AMR) solutions, we streamline the meter reading process, improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and have the ability to read all the meters in less than an hour. This makes meter reading much more accurate and less time consuming then traditional meter reading. AMR technology doesn’t just provide simple consumption reads. It also provides capabilities like outage notification, demand reset, tamper information and interval datalogging. This can give the customer detailed usage, hour by hour, for up to 35 days of previous usage. (Upon request.)
